Our Pastor John AhnIn his third decade in ministry, Pastor John Ahn has served and held children’s, youth,
education, college, adults, family, and older adults’ ministries,
including twice lead EM pastor, two church plants, and senior pastorship
(in New York, Texas, and Maryland) – since 1990.
Ordained in 2001 (KCPA), he has enjoyed serving the Korean American and other mainline churches. He says, “It’s a privilege and honor to serve Bethany EM. I am humbled and grateful to God and the Search Committee.
Pastor Ahn has been a spiritual, faith, and academic leader for national and international communities. Highly published, he is the author/editor of several works, of which, Korean and Korean American Biblical Interpretation (2019, SBL Press) is an example.
Pastor John Ahn is married to Angie. They have three grown children: Isaiah, Alex, and Caroline. They also have two dogs: Plato and Belle. He enjoys all sports (especially volleyball), music, reading and writing, and Formula 1.
He is truly dedicated to the current and future well-being of Korean (Asian) Americans in North America. He believes and advocates for the local church toward the greater common good.
